Tutorial part 2

Description: This tutorial was the second part of the one that i first did. The tutorial provided me with more info on how to do things on Adobe Illustrator. This tutorial in my opinion was much more easier to comprehend than the one before. The URl where the Tutorial cam from is: http://www.vectordiary.com/illustrator/using-brushes/.
New skills, processes and Tools Learned: This tutorial taught me how to use the brush tool and add new borders as well as using different shades and using layers. Compound paths were also used. Patter fill.

Self Reflection: I believe that i have been improving my illustrator skills with this tutorial it has helped alot :D.
Part Project: On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this an 8.

Text Project

Project Description: For this project I used different and unique ways to create texts with simple shapes. There were a few things i used like creating one letter that fits two words as well as replacing a letter in the word with a picture that represents the word.

New Tools + Skills learned:   

• Text Ligatures
• Tracing tool
• Reflection tool

Reflection: Throughout this project i discovered new ways to make texts and names unique. This project provided new techniques that i can use for now on and improve my graphics skills  

Spaceship

This is the spaceship that i have been working on in my Illustrator. I believe that this has been a great improvement since my last project using the pen tool. In this project i used another tutorial this ones url is 

http://www.denisdesigns.com/blog/2009/03/create-a-simple-spaceship-in-illustrator/. At first it looked very complicated but it was not while i went step by step. If I can do it You can do it!

Basic and Complicated Shapes on Illustrator

What you see above is my first attempt of drawing these shapes on illustrator with the pen tool. In my graphics class there was a tutorial that we had to follow on how to use illustrator and in a couple of days i got used to it. The website we used was http://www.vectordiary.com/illustrator/what-is-illustrator. I have to say that in the beginning Illustrator was complicated to get used to since I was only familiar with Photoshop. In this project i used images from the tutorial to trace and with the pen I traced the images. The top pictures were the easiest while the bottom ones got harder. At the end, I felt accomplished when i finally finished this project and i felt like i actually learned something. 

Freshman Year

This September i began the first year of high school. At first it was kind of hard to adapt to but after the first week it didn't feel as hard as it was before. The new school felt very big at first and hard to get to know your way around to your next class but after a while i got used to it. It feels great to have a 50 min. lunch period with the liberty of going outside and being wherever you want in school grounds. If i could pick to be back in middle school or here high school i would definitely pick high school.
